MINI + MOTORCLASSICA 2019.

MINI was the star of the show at Motorclassica, celebrating its 60th anniversary and shining the spotlight on the stories, people and cars that have contributed to the brand.

For six decades MINI has been unexpected; it was the solution to driving a car in an oil crisis, it was the underdog and yet still won the Rallye Monte Carlo, it was the car celebrities would choose to drive even if they could afford a Rolls Royce, it was the car your mum had growing up with the red leather interior that matched her favourite skirt, it is the sense of fun experienced when driving one and the emotion felt when talking about it. It’s all of these stories that make up the MINI story and as such, MINI wanted to show this.

MINI had a massive presence throughout Motorclassica at the Royal Exhibition Building which featured a spectacular set up on the ground floor celebrating its 60th anniversary, and a specially curated tribute to MINI by Motorclassica which showcased a one-of-a-kind exhibition of 15 rare MINIs.

Various MINI Owners Clubs were present and renowned Bathurst MINI drivers, Rauno Aaltonen and Bob Holden - winners of the 1966 Gallagher 500, also made an appearance alongside an emerging MINI driver, Linda Devlin – Australia’s fastest female Historic Touring Car driver.
