Round 3 Review.
The hype and pre-race expectation surrounding the inaugural Townsville 400 was extraordinary.
And as fate would have it, the event lived up to all expectations; even the harshest critic had to agree that this was a monster event with some very impressive results.
It was also a tremendous opportunity for MINI Challenge to showcase our unique style of door to door racing to the North Queensland national TV audience! And showcase we did! The twin driver format seemed to capture the imagination of everyone and with the introduction of livewires Warren Luff, Steve Owen, Todd Wanless, Paul Fiore, Paul Morris, Geoff Emery, Grant Sherrin, Matt Mackelden, Wayne Lamont and of course UBER Star driver Chris Atkinson the racing was fierce.
Despite the disappointment of the massive shunt in Race Three which claimed the vastly improved John Modystach, Mr Consistency Scott Bargwanna and recently returned Grant Sherrin, the action was fantastic and MINI Challenge really turned it on for Townsville.
Rock on MINI Challenge, we can't wait to line up for Sandown in a couple of weeks time!
